Manuscript Editing I have a special fondness for manuscript editing. I have had the honor and the pleasure of editing manuscripts for Alicia Ash and NY Times Best Selling author J.L. King, both who appeared on Oprah. Most recently, I completed a manuscript for self-published author and motivational speaker, Lynette Jackson. Writing a book is a great accomplishment. After pouring your heart and energy and time into a manuscript, you want to ensure that the finished product is ready for the bookshelf. Remember, you only have one chance to make a first impression. Marketing $60/hr (3 hr minimum) - includes free 30 minute consultation; consists of strategic planning and writing of promotional literature; does not include printing costs
PowerPoint Layout $60/hr (1 hr minimum) - comprised of writing, graphic placement, tables or charts and animation; includes free 20 minute public speaking preparation
Web Editing $5/page ($25 minimum) - includes free 15 minute consultation; consists of proofreading and basic editing of website, suggestions for improved readability to make site more user-friendly and a list of online marketing resources to increase awareness
Writing commissioned by the piece - available for creative, emotive, and marketing copy
Workshops price varies - several writer workshops available for small groups; perfect for networking organizations, book and writing clubs, teen programs, and other organizations; tailor an existing workshop or create a new one
Terms - Requires 50% deposit; Invoice will be sent for payment via PayPal
- Standard turn around time is three (3) business days for documents <25 pgs
- Documentation style for academic papers (MLA, APA, etc.) require an additional 25% to final price
- One (1) page is equivalent to 250-300 words, 12pt font, Times New Roman, double spaced, one-inch margins (partial page counts as one page)
- Copyediting is at an average of seven (7) pages per hour depending on the readability of the piece
- Formatting includes font, page numbering, margins, headers, spacing, indentation, justification, paragraphs, bullets, numbering, tables, charts, graphics, and more
